    小熊隊戲劇性地打敗印第安人隊一役，即使面對同時段NBC直播NFL美式足球大賽和AMC熱播劇「陰屍路」，也獲得15.3的收視率而奪冠，較去年增加30％，大勝NBC的「周日看美式足球」，是2009年以來最高收視率的世界大賽。

    自1998年富比世開始估計美國職棒球隊價值以來，洋基一直處在首富，也是北美價值第二高的運動專營權，僅次於美式足球達拉斯牛仔隊價值的40億美元。



    也因此今年人氣高歷年少見，在克利夫蘭舉行的前兩場世界大賽比賽門票平均要價近4,000美元，接著在芝加哥的里格利球場球賽門票叫價更接近7,200美元，即便所有賽事在電視和網路都有即時直播，依然有成千上萬的人願意付高價現場觀看賽事。
